Beginner 101

Leotards and leg warmers are not required here (but if you're feeling Flashdance, be our guest!)

Stretchy jazz or yoga pants and a T-shirt or tank top work well in any Dance 101 class. Wear any color combo you like -- although you'll notice most students wear black.

Dance Shoes: We sell a variety of Bloch jazz shoes & ballet slippers to make your experience that much better! Dance shoes will mold to your feet. You will always dance better in your own shoes! Keep in mind: dancing without the proper shoes is like skiing without skis...how much harder would that be?

Getting Started

Welcome to the world of dance!

Your journey starts here... but, how do you get started? With over 125 classes a week and 42 teachers, we know our schedule can be overwhelming when you first look at it. So let us help you.

Begin by clicking on the video screen at right. Meet Bubba Carr, Artistic Director for Dance 101. Bubba will take you on a tour of the studio, introduce you to a few people and show you a few classes.

Next, scroll down the page and register! Click the submit button and you're a step closer. Peruse the Beginner class schedule, read the class descriptions and select your first class. Plan to arrive around 15 minutes early on your first day. We look forward to meeting you!
