We are a boutique adult dance studio which caters to people wanting dance in their lives. Whether you are just starting out or already dancing professionally, our 100+ weekly class schedule has a wide variety of Hip Hop, Jazz, Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Lyrical, Pilates, Stretch, Bellydance and Salsa classes offered at all levels from Discover (Absolute Beginner) to Advanced.

Our signature Discover Level Classes cater to students "discovering" dance for the first time as well as those wanting to dance recreationally for fitness, weight loss and good health.

Who are Dance 101 students?

Most of our students are women in their 30's and 40's. We don't have many men in our classes, but we sure welcome them! The typical Dance 101 student is a career professional who dances for recreation and good health. Women of all body types, all ethnicities, all levels of physical condition flock to Dance 101 every week. Regardless of what level you're at or shape you're in, you'll find several appropriate classes waiting to welcome you.

Discover Dance: Our 50+ weekly Discover dance classes are for people who love to dance (but have never had any formal training), or for those of you who haven't danced in a while and wish to return to it. These classes are specifically designed to expose you to the joy of dance. They are great exercise (typically burning 500 - 700 calories in an hour) and great fun, but the benefits of dance do not stop there.  There are well documented emotional and stress relieving benefits of dance. Not to mention the great confidence booster it can be. What's more, you are learning a skill, and if you come regularly you WILL get in great shape - that's a guarantee.

Discover Level classes can be a stepping stone to more advanced study and even to performance, or they can simply be an ongoing source of fun and fitness. Just come by and select any Discover Level class to get started. 

Plan to arrive 15 mins early on your first day (to get you settled in). You will find our staff to be very friendly and welcoming. If you don't have shoes, we sell a variety of jazz shoes & ballet slippers. Wear loose fitting clothing that you can sweat in - yoga pants and a tank top would be great. If you want, check out our photo gallery for an idea of what students wear to class. Bottomline: be comfortable...but no shorts (unless you want to flash everybody)!!

Cost: There is no fee to register. You can drop in a class for $20. That's it! 

Our class cards work like punch cards. You take whatever classes you want - week to week - you don't have to take the same class every week - you come when you want and you can vary your schedule. You will not fall behind if you miss your favorite class from one week to the next. In fact, we encourage you to try as many different classes as you can - then pick your favorites. There is no "start" or "end" to our classes. Dance routines are new every week. Our schedule is not seasonal - it's on-going. The only changes we make are to add or occasionally discontinue a class.

We offer a variety of pricing options, ranging from a drop-in rate of $20 (each class)  to our Annual Membership (unlimited classes) for $1650.  Our Monthly pass is great if your work or travel schedule is fairly regular.  Class cards are perfect if your schedule is not.  Class cards expire 3 months or one year from date of activation; there are no refunds, transfers or freezes on class cards. 

The best (and most popular) way to get started is with our 30 day introductory special: 4 classes for $44, to be used within 30 days from date of purchase.
