The Bridge (Stretch) (Discover)

The Bridge is your transition from work week to weekend (Fridays) and from weekend to work week (Mondays). By releasing tension accumulated from work or from running errands, kids or having fun, this class is like a cleansing of the palette, preparing your body and your mind for a change in gears. It will work you hard, conditioning and toning in the first 1/2 hour. The second half of the class pulls from Ashtanga Yoga - which is both strengthening and de-stressing while detoxifying the body. The class ends in a deeply relaxing two minute sevasana (laying still on the floor to allow the body and mind to recover). You will walk away from this class with that wonderful feeling of having worked your body hard and productively, and with a calm of mind that will hopefully allow you to embrace the weekend unencumbered by any pent up tension. Labeled as a Discover level class, prior yoga and/or dance training is not required. The class is repetitive so that you learn the stretches. The music is a mix of soothing instrumental sound, and flows with the rhythm of the class. Don't just stumble onto the weekend, bring it on. Cross The Bridge. Taught by Eva Corpus.
