Discover Modern 101 (INS)

Swing, sustain, suspend, and collapse. &Discover new levels of physical expression, and reach beyond the limits of what you have known dance to be. In this class you will learn the fundamentals of Modern and Lyrical dance - which combine graceful and fluid movements with ballet technique and form. Experience the music through endless possibilities of smooth lyrical flow combined with Modern flare. This is what Modern and Lyrical are know for: learn the rules, then break them. Modern dance is a playground for the imagination, and under the expert guidance of Amber Owens, you get to be a kid again. The class begins with training in the basics of Modern and Lyrical (including strong conditioning and stretching), and is followed by fluid choreography that will challenge and delight you.
