Discover Physical Expressionism (INS)

Explore the artistry of dance in such a way as you've probably never experienced. Physical Expressionism is a dance genre in a category all by itself. How best to describe it? We'd say it is the physical manifestation of poetry. Sound abstract? Well it is. This is Charles "Bubba" Carr, Artistic Director for Dance 101. Bubba's impressive career in professional dance runs the gamut from television, to music videos, to movies, to touring with Cher for 17 years and most recently as a choreographer on "So You Think You Can Dance", going on it's 3rd season. From his humble beginnings as the only boy in ballet class at Lola's School of Dance, Daleville Alabama, to dancing for the biggest names in Pop Music, seeing the world on tour performing for audiences in the hundreds of thousands, Bubba's life and career is abundant and rich, replete with experiences that flavor his calling. With a basis in Classical Dance, Expressionism takes the technology of dance and applies it to visually create a manifestation of emotion. Ladies and Gentlemen.... Bubba Carr.
