Discover Fitness 101 integrates basic aerobic fundamentals, the latest dance moves, and exercises from the Horton Modern dance technique. which focuses on overall body strength and balance. Focusing on improving muscle tone, cardio vascular health, and flexibility, the class begins with a tension releasing warm up, progressing to low impact movements that work the abs, arms, legs, hips and provides overall body conditioning. The cool down focuses on stretching to enhance flexibility and breathing for stress relief. The variety of music encourages you to get into the flow of the movements and exercises, and by the end of class you will feel refreshed and energized. Taught by Jennifer Bell, this is a great way to introduce yourself to the world of Modern dance.
